The Yorker changes its charity on an annual basis. If you would like to suggest a charity then please email the editor through the contact link at the top. Charities are chosen by the executive committee of The Yorker, which comprises of all editors, technical directors and administrators.

Our Cause: West Yorkshire Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre

The Yorker, despite being a private limited company, does not make any profits. Financially it exists to support local good causes. All its members including the directors are unpaid volunteers. This is a principle that was part of The Yorker at its outset. This means that each time you click you are donating money to charity.

About the West Yorkshire Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre

For the next three years the Yorker will be fund raising for the West Yorkshire Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre which is a self-help Therapy Centre offering assistance to people with Multiple Sclerosis throughout North, East & West Yorkshire. The Centre provides a range of drug-free symptom management therapies as well as advice and support for all those with the illness and their families. As well as offering facilities for people suffering from Multiple Sclerosis the centre also offer services for people suffering from Cerebral Palsy and other Neurological conditions as well as for people with various sports injuries. Every time you click you are donating a tiny fraction of money to a worthy cause. Please keep clicking!

Joanne Goodwin, the Centre Manager, said that "it is brilliant that the Yorker have chosen the MS Centre as their charity… this is the news we like!"
