Entitled ‘The Pitch’, contestants will be given the task of presenting ideas to a panel of judges about how to use an empty building in Heslington East. The eight groups consist of three participants, and YUSU chair Tim Ngwena will be one of the judges.
The challenge began today (Monday), with a team briefing and preliminary research. On Tuesday the contestants will hear speeches from key speakers to aid their research, and the first round of judging will occur, with one team being eliminated.
Wednesday is a free day for the contestants to put in invaluable research for the task at hand. Thursday will conclude the contest, with all remaining teams ‘pitching’ their ideas to the panel, who will then decide on a winner. The winning team will win £600.
Last years winners of 'The Apprentice', Team mBezel (which included Tim Ngwena), walked away with £1000 prize money to divide amongst the four team members.
