Exclusive Jedward Interview!

Jedward
Globally Influential
Tuesday, 13th April 2010
Nobody expected Jedward. Maybe their parents. Let's take a look at The Yorker's exclusive interview with the coiffured icons of controversy.

The Yorker: Well guys, it was difficult to imagine anything short of phenomenal world-wide success wasn’t it?

John: Our sentiments exactly. Since that first audition, we’ve been left wondering how the British music industry has coped without us for so long. It’s not very often an act as influential as Edward and myself come along; performers so talented and innovative, so inspirationally different that culture is changed forever.

The Yorker: How do you feel about the so called ‘hard-working’ artists that strive for years with undiscovered talent in their quest for success in the music industry? For example, say, Oasis or The Arctic Monkeys...

Edward: Well it’s just b******t isn’t it? These people have their 5 minutes of fame and then they walk off into the sunset sitting pretty for the rest of their lives. It’s nonsense. You just don’t get the quality and stay ability that’s associated with manufactured talent-show artists. The likes of JLS, ourselves and Raymond Quinn will be the legends of the future. We’ll be selling records long after the likes of Oasis, The Beatles and Elvis fade into obscurity.

John: And I think that’s what it’s all about really. Influence. Our influence can’t be underestimated. We’ve already transformed the current music scene. There’s no stopping us now our talent has been aired.

Hmmm. Touché chaps. Touché...
