If you've walked anywhere near the Minster recently, you may have noticed the stunning projected light show, but more likely, heard the groups of enamoured viewers shouting at the Cathedral to manipulate the ascending patterns, sounding a lot like terribly polite football fans. Go and join in, it's a wonderful and slightly surreal medley of visual beauty and effective stress relief.
If your neck gets sore from gazing at the main Minster attraction for too long, there are at least a million other events on around town, including projections and shows by recent St. John's graduates and talks to coincide with late night opening hours in the Art Gallery.
This is a mighty fine week for York Arts and an even greater week for couples who love a cheap date.
