“A woman should wear fragrance wherever she expects to be kissed”-Coco Chanel
Laura Reynolds looks at some of the cheapest beauty products available
Just as the most successful athletes and rock stars are the ones who know to which point they may push their own limits, you too can achieve the dizzying heights habitually enjoyed by the famous by following a few very simple steps.
1. That bumpy bit on the back of your toothbrush cleans your tongue - who knew? Correct use of it will give you a mouth fit for a mint advert
2. The Lynx Effect may not live up to the promise of the advert, but it is as close as you will get although over use (to the extent the smell stays on your clothes the next time you use them) will expose you as a naïve sprayer, if you spray after a hot shower the open pores absorb the scent better and make it last longer.
3. It stings but there is something profoundly satisfying about aftershave immediately after shaving, the rules though are that the collar and the wrist are the areas to target. As far as fragrance goes anything too bitter will make you seem old-fashioned while anything too sugary will make you appear too young. A rule of thumb is to choose an actor whose sense of style/girlfriend you like and use the fragrance they advertise. This doesn't in any way guarantee that you will gain these things but it's a step in the right direction.
4. Shampoo can make a big difference, do you want your head to smell of bleach, herbal essences or kangaroo paw flower? The choice is yours but the saying goes you need to use your head to get ahead.
