James Absolon explains how this Pope-themed film, despite its risky premise, works
Alex Pollard reviews Hollywood's biopic of the controversial Margaret Thatcher
Apologies are indeed in order with the repetitive nature of last week’s YSC post. However, this week we truly have a selection of films which guarantee something for everyone.
It has indeed been a massive coup for the people at the student cinema to be able to present all three Lord of the Rings films. Since the big screen with surround sound is where these films truly belong then this is a rare opportunity.
See all 3 films for £7. A saving of £2 overall!
Having previously reviewed this film in The Yorker it will be apparent how good this film is. The Coen Brothers' new offering is undoubtedly their warmest in a much esteemed back catalogue and has been touted by many to be their funniest offering to date (even ahead of classics such as The Big Lebowski and Raising Arizona).
Are you an R-Patz fan? Are you a Taylor Lautner fan? Or are just generally nuts about The Twilight Saga? If so then you are in luck as this week’s big film is New Moon. Having been abandoned by Edward (R-Patz) Bella is completely lost, that is until she seeks solace in her local werewolf (Lautner). However, even then she cannot shake her love for the vampire sweetheart.
York Student Cinema is in PX/001 and the doors open at 18:45. Tickets are only £3!
