The University of York Horse Racing Society has two main aims; firstly, to organise social trips to race meetings, and secondly, to put lovers of the sport itself in touch with each other.
We offer trips right through the academic year, visiting local racecourses such as York, Doncaster, Wetherby, Ripon, Haydock and some further afield, such as Cheltenham, Aintree, Epsom and Ascot.
The society also runs socials with the aim of helping Horse Racing fans to meet each other. Socials vary from nights on the town, to gathering in front of a television for an afternoon's racing.
