York Art Gallery showcases work that spans over the past 600 years. It has a wide range of paintings – including pieces by Parmigiano and Hockney – and boasts a large collection of pioneer studio pottery. These, and other works, are complemented by a programme of temporary exhibitions and events. There’s disabled access, a café and shop.
