Thursday
Derwent
Club D goes DOWNTOWN
Derwent takes its freshers around York to introduce them to the best bits of our fine city, not least of which is Thursday night Gallery; the night finishes up there, with free entry and a queue jump included.
Halifax and Langwith
These two college are combining forces tonight to show their freshers a good time. An office-themed night in Yates with fluctuating drink prices promises plenty of embarrassing photos for Facebook tomorrow morning. Starts at 7.30pm.
Halifax also offers a more chilled-out evening; live music at at JJ's.
Goodricke and James
Another duo, these two colleges are having a "drink-off"; the Goodricke vs James barcrawl starts off at 7pm in McQ's then heads into town, finishing at Ziggy's, if you're brave enough.
Alternatively, Goodricke are hosting a games night in the JCR, complete with Wii games and prizes.
James will be having a film night in the JCR, showing the classic Pulp Fiction.
Vanbrugh
Volume presents PLANET POP. School disco night (fancy dress optional) in Vanbrugh bar, three rooms of music and celebrity guest Lolly (Hey Mickey, you're so fine...). It starts at 9pm; if you're buying your ticket on the door, get there early!!
Alcuin
Amplify presents: SPACE INVADERS. This late license event goes from 9pm-2am, and with two cocktails for £4.95, glowsticks and retro outfits, it should be a great night. DJ set by new talent Black Masa.
