Lauren Tabbron shares her favourite things to do in Manchester
Jess Astbury regales tales of festivities in warmer climates.
During this time there are sexy people everywhere shaking their thang in some of the most amazing clubs in the world. The coolest Ibiza is going to be during your stay is 20˚C overnight, but during the day temperatures are in the high 20s to low 30s throughout the summer months. Over half a million Brits visit Ibiza every summer, with the majority of them being between the ages of 18 and 30. So if you visit during this time, you’re not going to be short of people to party with!
Getting There
If you choose to fly and pick a hotel yourself then EasyJet is probably your best bet. They have deals from £29.99 for a single ticket in August and September. However, if you are going with a group of friends I’d recommend a package deal as it works out cheaper and is a lot less effort! At the moment Sta Travel have some amazing Ibiza deals starting at only £243 per person including flights and seven nights accommodation, that’s what I call a bargain.
Be very wary of booking everything through your hotel reps, they’re paid to rip you off
Daytime
Ibiza’s not renown for its day time attractions, however, this isn’t to say it doesn’t have any. Personally, I can’t get enough of Ibiza’s beaches, the sand is beautiful and the sea isn’t too cold! The only problem I’ve found is that during July you sometimes have to battle your way to a sunlounger which annoys me greatly.
As much as it continues to shock me, sunbathing isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, which is why day trips are so much fun. I went on an amazing Catamaran Tour which included a BBQ, snorkelling and a chance to explore the other side of the Island. We booked this locally and got a very good deal. There are people and stalls dotted all around the beaches (and most probably your hotel) that can set you up with these types of excursions, although I’d be very wary of booking everything through your hotel reps, they’re paid to rip you off.
Nightlife
Now we come to it, the thing that makes Ibiza world famous: clubbing! I would definitely have to recommend San Antonio as the place to go for the Ibiza’s biggest and best clubs. San Antonio’s sunset strip is host to millions of clubs and bars which I could write about for double the length of this article; however, I’m just going to share with you my favourite, Eden Club . One of the up and coming clubs on the Island, Eden has seen the likes of Girls Aloud, Gatecrasher and Ministry of Sound over the last few years. Boasting two floors, 13 bars, two VIP areas, a funky room and a separate chill out room its no wonder that Eden is becoming one of the most talked about clubs amongst the 18 to 30 crowds!
The bottom line
Ibiza always has and always will be the partygoers place of choice. It is the perfect place to go with a few friends, have a few drinks on the beach and then party the night away with half a million others doing exactly the same thing.
No, its not original, but there is a very good reason why everyone does it. It's bloody amazing!
