Roxy highlights her choice for the perfect guys to look for this summer.
Roxy looks at whether the "other woman" is always in the wrong.
Of course.
Perfume
I love perfume, but like many women, I never buy it for myself, so the only time I really get it is as a gift. I have a perfume I wear daily - Paul Smith Extreme for Women – but I just adore playing with other scents on nights out, or special occasions. Perfumes are quite expensive, but well worth the money. A bottle lasts a long time; I think my current one has lasted over a year already on daily wear. So if you want to get someone a special gift then maybe consider perfume as an option.
Men need scent too, so why not splash out on cologne for your man? I particularly like So Cal by Hollister or Fuel For Life by Diesel.
Tasty Treats
There is nothing like sweets and chocolate at Christmas time. It’s the one time of the year when you’re actually allowed to eat whatever you choose and no one judges you for it; so when it comes to receiving tasty treats at Christmas, I say ‘the more, the merrier’. I wouldn’t really be able to specify favourites; I love everything from Hotel Chocolat to a more simplistic candy cane. And the best part is – clearly calories don’t count in treats given as gifts - so eat up.
Underwear
There is nothing better than new underwear. If I could, I would wear a new pair of knickers every single day. I definitely want some lovely new pants for Christmas, and they come quite cheap too. La Senza do five pairs of knics for only £12, and the range is exquisite. From silk, to leopard print and back again, whether you like thongs or briefs, they have it all. But a word to the wise, check what size you need before giving as a gift - you don’t want any embarrassing moments on Christmas day.
Headphones
Since my iPod headphones said their final goodbyes, I’ve been stuck with shit pairs that I’ve just picked up from Sainsbury’s. Whether or not they promise to be a match for actual apple headphone, they always end up in the same place – the bin. I’ve decided I now hate any form of tiny annoying ‘ear bud’ and would greatly appreciate some good old fashioned headphones. If you’re prepared to cough out quite a bit, then there are some lovely pairs at Urban Outfitters. And the best part? They double as earmuffs in the winter.
Anything to do with cupcakes
I think this speaks for itself – I love anything, and everything to do with cupcakes. Whether that is cupcake stands, cupcake cases, books on cupcakes, even cupcake ingredients, it is all welcome in my kitchen. These can make up brilliant stocking fillers and don’t cost a lot either. But maybe not everyone else is as into baking as I am, so find something the recipient is interested in and go from there. Not only will they really like what you give them, but it will also show that you really know them.
Later in the week, Roxy will be back with five more ideas for gifts this Christmas.
