Roxy highlights her choice for the perfect guys to look for this summer.
Roxy looks at whether the "other woman" is always in the wrong.
Vouchers
I love fashion and I adore shopping, but if anyone bought me clothes for Christmas, I would probably be disappointed – unless I had chosen it myself and specified the sizes. Therefore, vouchers are the perfect gift for someone like me. All you need to do is find a shop they love to shop in. To be sly about it, asking if a top/dress/pair of jeans is new and following by asking where it comes from is always a good start.
Just don’t get vouchers for a shit shop as they’ll never get spent.
Rugby Ball
Most random gift ever, right? Wrong. I love rugby, as you probably well know, and I really want a rugby ball. I always mean to get one, but never end up doing so – I can’t seem to find them for looking. If you knew me well, and wanted to impress me, this would be the perfect gift. Obviously, this isn’t really transferrable from person to person. But the point is, it is all about finding something the person really loves, and really wants, that will be special to them, whether that be a rugby ball, or a pair of new dance shoes, or a headband for at the gym.
Handbag
Ever since the first time I saw it, I knew it was the one for me. Yes, I am talking about a handbag. Well not really a handbag, more the, handbag, the leopard print Karen Millen bag that has had my attention for weeks now. If you really loved me, and I’m sure somebody has to, then you’d buy me this bag. At around £200, it’s not exactly cheap. But if there is that someone special and you really feel like treating them, then go for it.
Candles
Lying in a bath, with an interesting book, and the soft glow of candle light – I can think of nothing better. I want candles for Christmas, but they can’t just be any candles, they have to look and smell delicious. I particularly adore a range by John Lewis that are scented as the Jelly Bean flavours – each one smells good enough to eat. I also love any candle that smells like Christmas, so in with the cinnamon. These candles can be found at M&S and are relatively cheap.
Now, where’s that book?
Tweed Jacket
I don’t know where it has come from, but I seem to have developed a fascination with vintage and I am dying to get my hands on a beautiful tweed jacket. The only problem is, I can’t seem to find one I like anywhere. Although, I do have my eye on one from Jack Wills, but kicking around the £200 mark means my student budget cannot stretch. So I can only hope one miraculously appears under my Christmas tree this year, I have been dropping hints.
So there is it, my lovely Christmas list. I hope everyone has a brilliant Christmas regardless of what presents they get, because after all Christmas is truly about being with family and friends and having an amazing time. The presents are only the icing on the cake. Or the brandy on the Christmas pudding.
