James Tompkinson reviews an excellent pre-season victory for the York City Knights against Yorkshire rivals Leeds Rhinos
Leeds themselves have beaten Worcester 2nds 73-0 and Manchester 3rds 13-3 to get this far. The two sides played in the same league this season so have already played each other twice, with one win a piece. On each occasion the home team won, so hopefully this won't be an omen for tomorrow.
The Yorker has managed to speak to a member of the Leeds squad to see what their squad think of the encounter. Blonde bombshell Sam Hurley said that the "squad is confident, we had a great win against Manchester last week and should have got promoted this year after a great season."
The speedy back also added that "theres a buzz about the team at the moment. York turned us over once this season which meant we didnt get promoted so everyones eager to turn them over at our place."

When asked about the danger men they possess, Hurley stated that "Platty at 10 is playing out of his skin as well as Greeno (captain)."
The womens Shield sees MMU Chesire host York. With both teams winning by large margins last week, playing in the same tier of BUSA and having only one defeat each this season, it should be a tight encounter.
However, York will be without both their captain and vice-captain for the match due to exams, obviously a massive disadvantage.
Jiff Higman has stated that "even though we've got a few players missing we're still looking pretty strong" and Chelsey Sprong added that "even though everyone's out of position we're putting forward an amazing team."
With two intriguing ties tomorrow make sure you log onto The Yorker to see how the teams have got on.
