Substitute Onome Sodje found the net eleven minutes from time as York City salvaged a point from their Conference clash with Crawley Town.
The Minstermen were favourites to pick up all three points following last week's impressive win at Weymouth; but a poor start from Colin Walker's men meant that the visitors soon stamped their authority on proceedings.
Crawley missed a hatful of first-half chances before they deservedly took the lead on the hour mark. Jon-Paul Pittman fired a neat 20-yard lob over Tommy Evans to the delight of the travelling supporters.
However, York snatched a point they scarcely deserved in the closing stages as Sodje drilled home a neat effort from 12-yards.
The result sees York sit 17th in the Conference table as we approach the mid-way point of the season. Sitting ten points above the relegation zone and twelve points away from the play-offs, mid-tale mediocrity already looks on the cards for the Bootham Crescent club.
