The Christian rock band from Brighton bring religion to the masses.
Recipe for modern R'n'B album: liberal helpings of guest rappers and an overdose of sexual euphemisms.
For the past few months Boys Likes Girls have been a top the pop charts in the states and for good reason. The Great Escape gives the upbeat imagery of a race against the clock to get home before curfew over an infectious chorus and hopeful verse. If you still don't understand the reason why it topped the charts in the states, don't worry: it's because you're not a high school girl. It's a pretty fun song to listen to nevertheless.

If you have ever listened to Kate Nash and thought, "I wish she was just a bit less aggressive and sang a few more ballads", then Grey or Blue is certainly the song for you. If you like the ukulele then all the better. Otherwise you might just find that JayMay is having a whine about some lad she can't even remember the eye colour of (are they grey or blue?).

Hologram world is a fun, fizzy pop-punk 'bud rocking sherbert twizzler of a tune. Fresh from the band's debut album Bang Bang Boom Cake and featuring additional vocals from The Yeah Yeah Yeahs' (super-sexy) Karen O, it's a tasty mainline hit of pure, sweet fun from a band (average age 12) who are literally too cool for school. A sure hit.

The Kooks appear like a band that know exactly who they are, in that they know they are a pop-indie band. However, their latest song seems lack direction. At times the song wants to be a ballad and be emotive. At other times, mainly the chorus, it wants to be the most unoriginal chant chorus possible. While that sounds harsh, I want more from a song then general rantings on a pretty girl and a three bar chorus.
Don't quite see the relevance of the title, but hey. You'll find no finer version of 99 Luftballons than the one by Goldfinger
