In its sixth year, the multi-venue Dot to Dot Festival runs in Manchester for the first time (alongside dates in Bristol and Nottingham). In Manchester, it’s based at the Academy venues, Deaf Institute and FAC521.
The Fred Perry Stage line-up is led by Mystery Jets, Wild Beasts, Twisted Wheel and Blood Red Shoes, whilst the Pineapple Folk Stage has Los Campesinos!, Field Music, Beach House and Liars. You can buy individual tickets for those stages, but an all-in ticket also covers a Zane Lowe DJ set, and sets by bands including Peggy Sue, The Ruby Suns, The Cheek, Goldheart Assembly, The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster and Johnny Foreigner.

Latitude Festival, despite increasing in size, sold out months earlier than it did last year. Still, there’s always a big York contingent there, so here’s the latest news: across the music arenas, recent additions include The Unthanks, Frightened Rabbit, Villagers, These New Puritans, Beth Jeans Houghton, Islet, Esben and the Witch and locals Standard Fare. They join headliners Florence + The Machine, Belle and Sebastian and Vampire Weekend.
Away from the music, the Literary, Poetry and Comedy Arenas add Hanif Kureishi, Josie Long, Robin Ince’s Book Club, Daniel Kitson, Phil Kay, Phill Jupitus, Jeremy Hardy, Julie Burchill and Art Brut’s Eddie Argos.

Dorset’s festival season closer adds headlining slots by Modest Mouse a UK festival exclusive from Yo La Tengo to the previously announced Sunday headliners Wilco. Annually present Brakes are also on the bill, along with an exciting mixture including Caribou, Monotonix, Wolf Parade, Here We Go Magic and, following his acoustic solo album’s release, Radiohead’s Philip Selway.
Latest End of the Road line-up
Beach Break Live (14-18 June) is back with live sets from Vampire Weekend, Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding, Plan B, Chase & Status and The Futureheads, and DJ sets from Annie Mac, Subfocus, Scratch Perverts and Breakage.
The near-complete Glastonbury Festival (23-27 June) line-up was released over Easter. It confirms Pyramid Stage headliners as U2, Muse, Stevie Wonder, and Other Stage headliners as The Flaming Lips, Pet Shop Boys and Orbital. Some of the festivals more varied options include Willie Nelson, Slash, Shakira and Snoop Dogg.
