The game started with the Centurions receiving the kick, which meant Centurions offence got a chance to get the game started. A few good runs from Walter, 21, and Marks, 29, and the Centurions were soon in touchdown range.
In the second offensive drive the Centurions running back, Marks, made a 37yard carry securing the first touchdown of the game and the first point on the board. The touchdown was converted by Walter, meaning the Centurions were now 8-0 up.
The Centurions defence were on their usual top form, stopping LJM having any kind of run game. Fury did manage to throw a few good completions which gained them some yards. The Centurions kept up their fighting spirit though, and the offence managed to keep grinding down the yards on the run. Meaning that the first half ended with Centurions 8-0 Fury.
Not being happy with only having eight points on the board, the Centurions could be seen getting pumped up in their half time warm-up. The Centurions defence went back on the field to start of the 2nd half, but a good play for LJM Fury meant that they secured a touchdown. After a fake field-goal, LJM tried to run the ball in for a two point conversion, but the Centurion defence managed to stop them. The score was now Centurions 8-6 Fury.
After some good plays on both sides of the Centurions team, the defence really began to shine. Arthur Pitt, (playing in 17) managed to get six sacks, and conceded a safety, meaning the Centurions ended the game 10-6 up.
The second game of the season secured the second win, meaning that this year’s Centurions are undefeated at home and away. It’s looking good so far for the Centurions – let’s hope they can keep it up.
