A group of York students has won the opportunity to have their very own I-phone application developed after winning The App Challenge final, held at the Ron Cooke Hub on Wednesday, January 18.

Last night Student Action released an early plan for next year to the yorker. Included in the new budget are measures to raise the profile of the week by coercing societies to get involved. The new team also plans to print the first ever Student Action handbook to get more give more protection through training to the volunteers themselves.
Over the past year Student Action Volunteering has expanded from Kids Camp, schools and residential homes to include prisons. Next term students will be able to teach young offenders and offer support to criminals first-hand.
