A group of York students has won the opportunity to have their very own I-phone application developed after winning The App Challenge final, held at the Ron Cooke Hub on Wednesday, January 18.

The Yorker: What's the first thing you did when you found out you won the position?
Serrano: The first thing I did was to think that I had to honour the other candidate Chris Smith is a gentleman. The next thing I did was to thank the two people that most supported me during the campaign, Katie Whiteside and (super)Sophie Walker.
The Yorker: What's the first thing you're going to do as Chair?
Serrano: I have already met with my vice-chairs and treasurer to do some planning for next term.
The Yorker: What can we expect from the JCRC next term?
Serrano: Hopefully the by-elections will be popular and we will have a full JCRC committee by Saturday or Sunday week 2, which are the dates that we are looking at for our by-election results night.
The Yorker: So... what's the best nacho brand around?
Serrano: To be honest, I've only tried 'The co-op nacho cheese tortilla chips' so my guess won't be too educated; however, it's co-op's "new recipe" so it could be the best, you never know!
The Yorker: What would you do if...
...a Goodricke student was really an alien?
Serrano: It wouldn't be my direct responsibility so I'd delegate it to the Overseas Rep.
...Brian the Goodricke cat was really Bryony the Goodricke cat and had a litter of kittens in Janet Baker Court?
Serrano: Brian is not only male, but a LAD. FACT. Even if he did, it wouldn't be that weird, Arnold Schwarzenegger gets pregnant in a film and all films are based on true stories, right?
...the beast of Hes East attacked?
Serrano: Extraordinary times call for (extra)ordinary members.
...the world ran out of nachos?
Serrano: It's nacho problem.

Serrano: Hi! I'm Nacho, I'm going to have a lot of time to concentrate on my degree LOL jks I'm the new Goodricke Chair.
