He said: “The business has just about managed to break even over the past few years, but turnover has decreased to a point where any further decline would result in us losing money for the Union."

Its sales have also been hit by the move by many academic departments to rely more on electronic resources, such as eBooks and eJournals.
After Your:Books has closed, YUSU will allow students to buy and sell second-hand books on its website. Burton said: “Ultimately we should end up with a better, more accessible system that students can use any time, day or night, with ease.”
The closure of Your:Books will also see Blackwell's Book Shop in Market Square expanding its trade to second-hand books.
Your:Books has been serving students for over 20 years.
