A group of York students has won the opportunity to have their very own I-phone application developed after winning The App Challenge final, held at the Ron Cooke Hub on Wednesday, January 18.

Jake got 556 votes, RON got 98. How on earth you or The Yorker for that matter thought it was the other way round is beyond me. Also I'm not sure if you're aware but The Yorker aren't in YUM making their involvement slightly redundant.
The Yorker would like to extend our sincerest apologies to both YUM Chair candidates this year Jamie Riley and Jake Farrell for the incorrect report on votes. The reports have been acknowledged as incorrect and retracted accordingly.
@ 17 the yorker might not be part of YUM, but they are still a student-led media outlet reporting for the student body. so they have every right to want to be involved with any student-related event. actually some would probably say it makes sense.
i love the yorker - beats stuck up nouse pretentiousness any day!!
