The Christmas TV schedules are a terrifying prospect for the unprepared. Unless you’ve set aside an entire day to sift through the behemoth that is the Xmas Radio Times (which also makes for a decent draft excluder, I’ve found), the sheer volume of yuletide programmes can overcome even the most dedicated telly addict. Here’s something you won’t hear us say often: there’s just too much on! What to watch?

Well, fear not, for here we have compiled our Top 5 (ish) essential viewing over the next couple of weeks, all handily crammed into a podcast/vodcast/technological thingy that you can watch below - cool, huh?

Trailers: BBC, ITV

Fab job guys! Love it! Got to say I'm with Catherine on Doctor Who though, anything featuring Bill Bailey gets my vote.
