Friday, 12th June 2009
Organisers of Woodstock 2009 have created a video preview of York's annual live music festival.

The Woodstock Committee and RAG have produced the video to raise awareness of the event, which is taking place on Saturday 27th June in Vanbrugh.

Organisers Christopher Kummelstedt and Michael Thackray said: "This year's Woodstock will be better than ever before, as we are adding a new after party that will take place in The Courtyard.

"The atmosphere on the day will be amazing, especially if it is sunny. There is a so much going on that pretty much anyone can have a great time."

The Committee announced that the event will include performances by:

  • MAGNAPOW!
  • Magic P and the Innuendos
  • Make It Better Later
  • Frankenstaines
  • Ah Good The Sea
  • URY Transformers
  • Idle Jack and The Big Sleep
  • Hijack Oscar
  • Fringe
  • Goslings
  • Gurmeet Singh's Percussion Buffet
  • Samba Band
  • Dreamz Murphy
  • Breakz

A suggested donation of £3.50 will be welcomed on arrival, with money going the RAG charities. For more information and the full line-up, see the event details on Facebook

Video produced by Samuel Houlders, Harriet Jennings, Christopher Kummelstedt, Lewis Moore, Jamie Tyler, Alice Williams and Jenni Williams.
