Rugby: James Wilson

Tomorrow sees massive knockout games in rugby, football and table-tennis. With two rugby teams in action, these are exciting times for York rugby.

The rugby 1sts face a trip North of the border as they travel to Strathclyde, a team who finished bottom of the Scottish 2A division. York themselves finished 3rd in the Northern 2B league.

This is the first time in five years that the club has reached the knockout rounds of BUSA and first team player James Wilson says there "is an air of excitement around the club, especially the senior members." Wilson, himself a 3rd year, says "this tournament is a great way to culminate his years at the club" and is "cautiously optimistic about getting a positive result tomorrow."

The rugby 2nd team are also on the road, they find themselves travelling to Liverpool Hope University College, who play in the BUSA division above York 2nds. The 2nd team are competing in the Vase with the 1st team in the more prestigious Plate.
