A York victory was as hard to find as a John McCain supporter yesterday, with York failing to shrug off their bus journeys North. Despite a good first half performance seeing them level at half time, the Men's football 1sts suffered a 3-0 defeat. The seconds were also beaten, but wins for the 3rds and 4ths made sure the footballers did not come home empty handed.
Men's Rugby Union only avoided a total whitewash by virtue of Sheffield canceling their game with the 1sts today as the seconds and thirds crashed to defeat. Hockey had a bad afternoon too, with both Men's teams left pointless.
The Netball club had mixed results with a disappointing loss for the firsts, an exciting draw for the seconds and a thumping 48-0 win for the thirds. This result, coupled with a win for the women's Lacrosse team, proved the silver lining to an otherwise cloudy BUCS afternoon.
