Artscast Is Here

Podcast
Tuesday, 9th October 2007
Finally the time is upon us! The Yorker proudly presents Artscast, the official weekly student art's podcast.

The first official Yorker Artscast will be released on Monday 15th October and to celebrate we've made a little demo to show you what to expect. The demo is now available to download by opening iTunes. Click on "Advanced" on the menu bar and select "Subscribe to Podcast" then copy the following URL into the address box and hit subscribe:

http://www.theyorker.co.uk/feeds/podcasts

What to expect in the first Yorker Artscast:

  • Great interviews bringing the best talent in theatre, film, culture and music to you. This week from Super Furry Animals and the curator of the Tracy Emin exhibition at York Art Gallery.
  • Exciting listings telling you all the events you need to know about in York and the best stuff on offer from the rest of the nation.
  • Games, competitions and opinion polls helping you get involved.
  • New releases and what you should look out for over the next few weeks, including: singles, films and exhibit previews and reviews.
  • Fresher's Montage playing the best, funniest and just plain weird conversations we've had with freshers during the week. Who knows, you may be in it?

Watch out for us as we take the Yorker Artscast onto the streets of York and around campus finding out what makes your arty brains tick. Also, if you want to get involved in future editions of Yorker Artscast whether that's through suggesting topics for discussion, feature applications for your next artistic project, applying to join the Yorker Artscast team and be involved in reporting for us, or you just have some feedback then we'd love to hear from you. Feel free to email Tom Rogers, our Artscast Editor, on tom_rogers@theyorker.co.uk or Ben Rackstraw, the Arts Editor, on ben_rackstraw@theyorker.co.uk.

Remember, the first edition of Yorker Artscast is released on Monday 15th October so check back then to download it.
