http://static.theyorker.co.uk/feeds/podcasts

What's in this edition?

  • We interview the curator of the Tracy Emin exhibition at York Art Gallery.
  • Our brand new feature "Word on the Street" where we ask York's market traders what they think of this week's new single releases.
  • Fresher's montage playing the best, funniest and just plain weird conversations we've had with freshers during the week. Who knows, maybe you'll be in it!

What to expect in next weeks edition:

  • We chat to compère Dan Atkinson and headliner Rob Deering straight after appearing in "Fresher's Comedy Night" in Central Hall.
  • Interview with English Folktronica legends Tunng at their recent gig in Leeds.
  • We take a trip to the musical marketplace in another edition of "Word on the Street", asking market traders for more pearls of wisdom on this weeks single releases.

Watch out for us as we take the Yorker Artscast onto the streets of York and around campus finding out what makes your arty brains tick. Also, if you want to get involved in future editions of Yorker Artscast, whether through suggesting topics for discussion, feature applications for your next artistic project, applying to join the Yorker Artscast team and be involved in reporting for us, or you just have some feedback then we'd love to hear from you. Feel free to email Tom Rogers, our Artscast Editor, on tom_rogers@theyorker.co.uk or Ben Rackstraw, the Arts Editor, on ben_rackstraw@theyorker.co.uk.

Great podcast guys. Thought the Fresher's chat at the end was really funny and look forward to hearing the interview with comedy legend Dan in the next one!
