Cocktail Society: Roses cocktails part 2

Here is the newest installment of the Cocktail Society's recipes with which to celebrate the Roses.

Day 3

White Cloud

This is the cousin of the White Russian cocktail but with the pineapple juice gives it a summer twist.

  • 45ml (1.5fl oz) Vodka
  • 22.5 ml (3/4fl oz) Crème de Cacao (white)
  • 60ml (2fl oz) Pineapple juice
  • 3/4 ounce cream

Place all of the ingredients along with ice into your cocktail shaker. Mix your liquids well with a 6 to 10 count shake of your cocktail shaker and then strain into your rocks glass over ice. Kick back and enjoy.

Red lion

If you like Gin, you will love the Red Lion.

  • 30ml (1fl oz) Gin
  • 22.5ml (3/4fl oz) Grand Marnier/Cointreau/Triple Sec (depending on money)
  • 2 dashes Grenadine
  • 45ml (1.5fl oz) Orange juice
  • 7.5ml (1/4fl oz) Lemon juice

Add ice to your cocktail shaker, along with all of the ingredients. Mix together with a strong 6 to 10 count shake of your cocktail shaker, and strain it into your cocktail glass.

Day 4

Classic Margarita

This cocktail is perfect for sitting and watching the world go by!

  • 35ml tequila
  • 20ml cointreau
  • 35ml lime juice
  • Handful of ice cubes
  • Lime wedge to garnish

Pour the Tequila, Cointreau and lime juice into a cocktail shaker. Add a handful of ice cubes and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds. Strain into a Martini glass with half the rim damped with water, then dipped in salt. Add a lime wedge on the rim by way of garnish.

French Martini

A classic recipe with a summer twist

  • 50ml vodka
  • 15ml raspberry liqueur
  • 35ml fresh pineapple juice

Place the vodka, raspberry liqueur and pineapple juice into a cocktail shaker with some ice and shake vigorously. Strain the mixture into a martin glass and serve.
