Been to so many Fresher's events the music is starting to get repetitive? Here are four of the singles coming up next week for you to get your teeth into...

Right, to get it all kicked off, the X factor's Leona Lewis is back, releasing 'Bleeding Love,' her first single since last year's 'A Moment Like This.' Don't be put off by the slightly scary emo title, Lewis is often hailed as the best thing to happen to the X factor (save for Simon Cowell's high trousers of course) and this single doesn't let her down. The tune is catchy and the vocals easy enough for those of us who aren't as musically gifted to attempt warbling along to in the car, shower, college bar or wherever takes your fancy.

However, if you fancy something a little bit more upbeat, Manchester- based band The Courteeners' second single 'Acrylic' is a perfect example of indie-poppiness that's bound to get you dancing. Although it's nothing especially out of the ordinary, it's great fun, and will appeal to many. This single should repeat the success of their first single to be released ('Cavorting') which sold out, with all available copies pre-ordered on Amazon. The Courteeners will be supporting The Coral on their UK tour this October.

My fave single this week, however, is Gwen Stefani's 'Now That You Got It' featuring mini-Marley, Damian. If you already like Gwen Stefani, you will definitely love this single. It's got a brill reggae beat, which supports Stefani's catchy vocals and Marley's rapping interlude. The video is pretty awesome too. Gwen, Harajuku girls and crew have been super-imposed on a colourful Jamaican backdrop. I'd recommend watching it once you're really sick of the Yorkshire weather, and let it inspire you to get your groove on in a big way.

If you want to try something you've perhaps not encountered before, rather than listening to yet another single by the rather rich and very famous Miss Stefani, give The Teenagers 'Starlett Johansonn' a try. It’s a little bit electro, a little bit French, and a little bit too cool for school. The good news for all you indie-kids out there is that The Teenagers are in our neck of the woods for the next couple of weeks! That’s right! They have upcoming shows in Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield, and (if you fancy blowing your student loan on a little adventure) they are playing in Reykjavik this Thursday! So pull on your skinny jeans and dance your socks off... because everyone knows the party doesn't end with Fresher’s week...
