James launches annual lecture

james
Saturday, 8th May 2010
James College is launching what is to become an annual lecture with a talk on “British Cinema and the swinging sixties” on Wednesday Week 3.

The lecture will be given by Professor Duncan Petrie of the Department of Theatre, Film and Television. The lecture will be followed by a reception featuring music and artefacts from the era provided by the York Museums Trust.

James College has been increasingly proactive in organising events, with Neil Lunt organising a sports tournament against Collingwood, his former college at Durham University which was widely hailed as a success despite the rugby match being cancelled.

Admission is by a free ticket and will take place in P/X/001. The reception will take place in James Hall.
