Our first football team has beaten rivals Leeds 2nds to become champions of their league.

For the second season in a row, York University 1sts will be promoted.

York will next season move into the battleground of the top 24 university teams in the north of the UK.

The game was attended by over 40 fans - a big turnout in university terms. Yorker sports editor Chris Collinson said the match went down to the wire, but our men deserved to win.

"York will next season move into the battleground of the top 24 university teams in the UK."

No it's not, because there is the BUSA prem in the north and south, as well there being separate BUSA one leagues in the north, south, midlands etc.

That's right. York will be competing as one of the top 24 teams in the North of the country only. But then again, York won't ever be able to compete in the Southern leagues, so we can't really compare! The article, however, has been amended.

Both fine institutions... I'd say Vision shade it, but really it's like comparing knives and forks - internet reporting and broadsheet.
