Statement from The Yorker

The Yorker Logo
Thursday, 5th June 2008
The Yorker would like to apologise for the recent down time and other ongoing issues.

Due to technical problems with our hosting services, the website has experienced relatively frequent down time over the last few weeks and extended down time on Thursday 5th June.

The site has been moved to a new server to avoid further inconveniences. Current issues with pictures should be solved within the next few hours.

Although when visiting The Yorker you will currently get redirected to http://y-ne.ws, this is a deliberate temporary measure and should return to normal within 48 hours.

Thank you for your understanding,

Ruth and Dominic

I have a bone to pick with the Yorker...I'm a big fan, and think it represents the future of campus media...HOWEVER - the main advantage you have over Nouse/Vision etc. is that you don't go to print and therefore can be continually updating stories to make sure the site is up to date and has the latest breaking news - so why on earth is there a story on the homepage from March pre-YUSU elections?!?! Do a more recent video-cast, or take the story off the homepage - surely not that difficult?!
