Rebecca Chalk

RAG Charities Liaison Officer Rebecca Chalk said: "I'm really happy with the choices, they're all across the board which is great."

She added: "I'm a bit disappointed with voting numbers, it's more than when it was just the committee, but it's so easy to do it's a shame more people didn't take the time." This year was the first time that the vote was open to all students in a cross-campus ballot.

The results of the vote were announced at Saturday's Woodstock event.

What was the actual turnout?

(btw, I'd check the spelling of Médecins Sans Frontières)

This is a great result! Help for Heroes stands to benefit a great deal from this. Thank you for all who supported H4H and best of luck to the other charities as well.

I think it is also worth pointing out that Student Action are a permanent local beneficiary of RAG. So money raised by RAG over the next year will contribute in keeping Student Action running. (Volunteering Wing of the SU)

I think it is worth noting publicly the fact that Dan Taylor has worked extremely hard at promoting H4H as a beneficiary.

Dan takes a lot of stick at points on the Yorker but here you can only commend his enthusiasm and persistance.

Obviously there is a lot of work to be done to raise the money now! Good luck to all those working for it next year...

Thanks Rich! They are all great charities and the hard work begins next term in raising many thousands of pounds for them!
