Flooding Triggers Network Outage On Eve Of Exams

A flood caused by a heating system “failure” forced the university IT services to shut down many essential systems on Sunday night, causing problems for many students on the eve of their exams and assignment due-dates.

The Graduate Students' Association (GSA) elections were held on Friday night. Twelve positions were voted on.

The results were as follows:

  • Treasurer: Tom Flynn (re-elected)
  • Events Officers: Rachel Hope, Katherine (Kitty) Wicker, Richard (Mitch) Mitchell

  • Part-time students officer: Eva Fairnell (re-elected)
