Halifax launches new website

New Halifax Website
Wednesday, 27th May 2009
The launch of a new and updated Halifax college website yesterday marked the latest in a number of developments to the university's largest college.

The new site features a college events calendar, a history of the college and a number of image galleries. There is also information to help students looking for houses off campus, and a message board where students can post welfare concerns, anonymously if they wish.

Regarding the changes, college Vice-President Nick Synnott said: "I am very happy with how our new website has turned out and feel that it, along with the other changes such as the new logo, are positive changes for Halifax. Hopefully the new website will benefit current students as well as making Halifax a more attractive choice to prospective students coming to York."

As well as putting together a new website for the college, the HSCA have been working hard to improve former college bar JJ's as a common room. They purchased an Xbox 360 earlier this term, and are looking into purchasing a Nintendo Wii.

www.halifaxcollege.com

It is included in the weekly newsletter as well! It still has a few teething problems but on the whole compared to our last website it is a lot easier to manage and update.

Shame such a shite college have such a good website. I guess when you only get 3 at an event, the other 1,500 must have something to look at! It just seems a bit of a waste though.
