Volume presents Kelly Llorenna at Vanbrugh

Ibiza Rave
Thursday, 4th June 2009
Vanbrugh are gearing up for the last Volume event of the year with international dance act Kelly Llorenna set to get the university in to the summer mood.

On Friday of week 8, Vanbrugh will be creating an Ibiza-style rave for the last Volume event of the year, with star guests including Kelly Llorenna, supported by Dance Soc's finest, and York's own elecro hiphop artist Dreamz.

Vanbrugh Chair Dani Fill said: "We're all very excited about Kelly performing in Vanbrugh. She's a clubland hero that we all remember from our childhood. She's going to shake up campus with her powerful vocals so make sure you don't miss it! Our Bar Rep James Menon is most excited as she is his all time favourite superstar."

Kelly Llorenna has performed on the famous Clubland tours and her hit songs include "Set You Free" and "Tell it to my Heart". She is also a regular performer in Ibiza and Magaluf. Dreamz will also be making a debut performance on campus at what is shaping up to be an unmissable night, with 3 rooms of music and 3 bars with various drinks offers.

Other entertainment to watch out for on the night will be DJ clubland in the main room with some big summer anthems. Juggle Soc will be putting on a fire and UV show, there will be UV face painting and glowsticks will be available from RAG. Look out for the return of Charles Bushby to the JCR too.

Unless there's a by-election on, surely it is the JCR to which he is returning?

No, Charles Bushby is returning to the JCR, it is a room, but it's a room that he is Djing in and has DJed in before. Thus, he is returning.

Regardless of where he is DJing or where Kelly Llorena is singing, it's going to be AMAZING!

Tickets are selling fast so buy them now - Your:Shop, Yusu.org or at Vanbrugh Stalls.

bloody amazing that vanbrugh is getting such a relatively high profile act for a standard campus event,

probably the best attraction for any normal college event ive seen in 3 years
