10:10 goes ahead
Thursday, 19th November 2009
A motion passed by the Environmental and Ethics committee at the recent UGM means that YUSU have now agreed to cut their carbon emissions by 10% during 2010 as part of the 10:10 campaign.

This means that they will have to examine ways in which to save on energy, including heating and electricity, make travel more eco-friendly, and use less of the Earth’s resources.

The 10:10 campaign is a mass movement that is encouraging people from all areas of Britain, and in all areas of work to reduce their carbon emissions by 10% during 2010, which is the first step towards protecting the next generation from the effects of climate change.
