This year's Student Radio and Guardian Student Media Awards have been announced, and once again York media has won in a number of categories.

Nouse won the Guardian's award for best website, with new Editor Charlotte Hogarth-Jones commenting that she was "absolutely thrilled" to have won and that it was a "real honour to be recognised by the Guardian".

URY also picked up awards at the Student Radio Awards, including Gold for Best Interview (Josh Chambers and Hilary Benn), Gold for Best Journalistic Programming (York Report, Dave Tracz and Rob Watts) and Bronze for Best Entertainment Programming (Technical Difficulties, Tom Scott and Matt Gray).

LSFRSM, the University of Leeds radio, scooped the award for Best Station. The station manager of URY Oliver Julian said: "We are all really proud of our award winners... we have the oldest independent radio station in the UK, broadcasting 24/7 during term time and - as these awards prove - some of the best student radio output in the UK".

YUM Chair Anna Bucks said of the university's success that she is "immensely proud". Bucks added: "It's wonderful that York's fantastic media is recognised on a national level, and it's a testament to how talented York students are".
