URY bring Stornoway to York

Monday, 10th May 2010
Alternative indie pop band Stornoway are playing in Derwent Bar tomorrow night thanks to the efforts of URY.

The Oxford band who played Glastonbury last year are currently touring to support their upcoming album Beachcomber’s Windowsill which is to be released on May 24th. They will be playing Derwent Bar.

The event will surely be a breath of fresh air for those tired of the music scene on campus. Unlike many other universities, York tends to only get acts at big events such Freshers' Ball, Big D and the Graduation Ball.

Stornoway will be playing in Derwent Bar. Tickets are available in Yourshop for £5. Doors open at 7.30pm.

Darn it. Should have live blogged it

Very successful event - not long left and we've had no first aid concerns, good bar intake, broke even and had lots of good comments from random students and non-students! Look for URY's even bigger names hitting in late autumn term
