Leopard print tends to work well with an all black outfit, such as a classic LBD, or a brown/ dark denim mix. If it’s dressing up you’ve got in mind, this leopard print shift dress (Topshop, £40) looks great with a black skinny belt, but begs for dolly shoes or sandals rather than chunky boots, so is probably a little too summery for this delightful Yorkshire weather.
Head back to a gentler era with this flapper style dress. Dress down with leggings for day time, or add heels and a tailored jacket for the evening. Red lipstick is a must.
This shirtdress is ultra versatile-on trend enough to wear to Ziggy’s, but the Peter Pan style collar make it classy enough for office wear too. Love, love, love.
For a more casual look, this leopard print tank top (New Look, £12.99) can be worn with shorts or a skirt for a night out, but looks equally as good with skinny jeans and a chunky knit for slumming it in the library.
For a more elegant solution to this trend, try this snow leopard hourglass dress (Topshop, now £30). It is not as in-your-face as solid leopard prints, and the shape is great for curvier figures.
Embrace your inner Spice Girl with this leopard print wrap top (New Look, £16.99) and really show off your curves. Wear with a black mini skirt or body con for a real 90s look, or update the trend with skinny jeans, heels and a short black blazer.
Pay tribute to Pat Butcher in this leopard print fur coat (ASOS, £75.) It takes a brave person to wear it but boy does it look warm. For a cuddlier version try this one complete with ears (AS0S, £80).
If leopard print is not your style, zebra print is also plentiful on the high street at the moment. The great thing about it is that it can be worn with almost any colour-try colour/print blocking-just avoid other, clashing prints.
This cowl neck, cinched waist dress(ASOS) is perfect office wear for work experience/internships when worn with a cardigan and flats, and a bargain at only £18. Plus the model looks a bit like Zooey Deschanel. WIN! For a conservative look, pair with a black fitted cardigan, but if you’re feeling more bold, try a more eye-catching colour like red.
Depending how brave you’re feeling, this zebra print dress (ASOS, £48) also embraces an extreme version of the current dip hem trend Personally, I’d have to slather on the fake tan before my pasty limbs got anywhere near it.
For a more subtle approach, use animal print accessories to liven up an otherwise plain outfit; Embrace your full on wild side with these leopard print heeled ankle boots (Next £40), or move away from leopard print with these blue snakeskin heels (New Look, £29.99).
This leopard print handbag (Next, £40) will liven up any outfit without being too overpowering. Dress down with jeans, or dress up with a black blazer.
Plus, coming soon to a high street near you; Union Jack dresses.
