For the final time this term, Vicky Morris updates you on this weeks film news
50 years after the publication of 'James and the Giant Peach', the works of Roald Dahl continue to celebrate success.
Its diverse beauty can be seen from all around; by standing on the banks of the Nile; watching as local fisherman go about their work or hovering above the vast desert in a hot air balloon, gazing down at four-thousand year old temples.
In a place with such character and energy, it is difficult to not get attached. As my home-bound flight soared above the desert, now illuminated by the setting sun, I was glad to have photographs to remind me of my remarkable Egyptian experience.
Beautiful photos! Lovely feature.

Even nicer when you click the pics and see them in full. Really amazing photos... They make me very jealous!
Great photos!
How long did you spend in Luxor? Visiting Karnak is absolutely incredible Did you travel any further north?
I'm thinking of running a competition...anyone who gets photographic proof that Jason Rose does something with his time other than commenting on aritcles on the Yorker wins a free trip to Egypt. The only catch is that they have to take him with them.
Run it and I'll happily go to Egypt
If you want to know what I've done in the last week, though, it includes having two radio shows, going to the NUS national conference all day on Tuesday, going to a CU meeting on Wednesday evening, going to a JCRC meeting on Thursday evening, helping out with the Debating IV Competition on Saturday and going to Responsible Person training, going to an ordination on Sunday and I also went to the YUSU Comedy Night last monday - plus my astrophysics degree takes up a large amount of time. So I think that my 10 minutes on the Yorker is perfectly justified, thank you very much.
Anyway, back to Egypt. What was Aswan like? I didn't get to go :(
